The Challenge

Debi had a thriving website built on Elementor — a dance fitness business with online bookings and integrated payments that worked beautifully for group classes. When her circumstances changed and she moved to a smaller venue, the model had to change with it. Group classes were no longer viable, so the business needed to pivot to private one-on-one and couples lessons.

That meant the website had to pivot too. The old site leaned heavily into pink, which suited the original group-fitness audience but risked turning away the broader demographic the new business needed to reach — including male partners learning for weddings and couples taking lessons together.

Our Solution

We rebuilt the site from the ground up in Astro, replacing the WordPress and Elementor stack with a fast, lightweight static site. Key changes included:

• A more inclusive aesthetic — keeping a touch of pink as a brand thread, but pulling it back so the site reads as warm and approachable rather than gendered
• Repositioned messaging focused on private lessons, beginners, and couples preparing for weddings or formal events
• Judgement-free tone throughout, leaning into the relaxed, one-on-one nature of the new offering
• Clear conversion paths with simple enquiry-driven calls to action, replacing the previous booking and payment system that the smaller-scale business no longer needed
• Faster, leaner build — Astro delivers near-instant page loads and removes the maintenance overhead of a WordPress install
• Mobile-responsive design so prospective students can browse and enquire from any device

The new site reflects the warmth of Debi’s teaching while opening the doors to a much wider audience:
